Pooch Pawsitive Dog Training - Puppy Jumpstart, Group classes, private lessons, behavior counseling, dog walking
Behavioral Consultation
This initial 1 - 1-1/2 hour consultation is focused on evaluating and discussing your dog, any problems you are having and your training goals.
We'll evaluate and observe your dog's behavior in your home or neighborhood. We'll then discuss your training goals, management options, training plan and whether Coaching or Day Training is your best option.

All private training starts with a Behavioral Consultation.
If your main concern is manners and obedience, we'll discuss your priorities and next steps. At that first session, we should be able to determine how many sessions it will take to accomplish your goals and whether Coaching or Day Training is your best option.
If serious behavior problems are your main concern (such as fear, aggression, anxiety, guarding etc.) then you'll also be required to complete the Behavioral Questionnaire prior to our first appointment.
Coaching
This service is designed for those who have the time and want to be an active participant in training their dog. We usually meet once per week for one hour at your home. Prerequisite: Behavioral Consultation

Day Training
No time to train your dog? Then let us do it for you! The trainer is primarily responsible for training the dog but the owner will be required to do 'homework' during the week to reinforce the behavior being taught by the trainer. The trainer will come to your home 2 -3 times per week to work with your dog alone and, once per week, the trainer will spend one session with you to transfer the skills your dog has learned. This is a good way to jumpstart training, whether its basic manners or behavior issues. (For example, Day Training is particularly helpful for teaching your dog Loose Leash Walking). Prerequisite: Behavioral Consultation.
"I want to thank you for all the work you have done with us and Quincy, our St. Bernard. You worked with us to show how positive reward-based training methods can really change these habits. Now Quincy Comes every time, even when out of sight, when either my wife and I call. Appreciate your help." (John McLane)
