When starting out training your dog, you'll need some basic skills that establish the foundation for future skills. You'll learn these in the first three Basics Lessons.

Foundation Skills

Orientation - $25 (FREE with the purchase of a punch card) This is a mandatory 50-minute class for humans, without your dog. It is a prerequisite for each human to attend the class because we値l teach you:

• Important concepts about how dogs learn
• What is Positive Reinforcement, rewards-based training?
• What is a clicker and how does it work?
• You値l get a clicker and we値l practice!

Basics The first three Basics classes are identical for Puppies and Adults, with the exception that we separate Puppies (under 24 weeks) from Adults (over 24 weeks) while the pups are being socialized and address the special needs of pups. The three Basics classes provide the foundation skills for everything that is to follow. You must complete these three lessons before moving on to other lessons.

Basics #1: This class teaches your dog Attention skills (Name, Look at me), How to take treats gently, and Sit

Basics #2:This class teaches your dog how to walk nicely on a Loose Leash, Lay Down and Stand

Basics #3: This class focuses on Come and Anti-Jumping

More Basics Once you've finished the first 3 Basics classes, then you can more on to these Electives. Prerequisite: All 3 Basics Lessons.

Basics #4: This class teaches your dog to Stay, Leave it, Drop it. We値l also talk about Anti-Barking and grooming.

Basics #5: This class focuses on distraction training! We値l work on calm behavior and attention skills when greeting people, out for a walk, Stay etc. We値l also talk about nail clipping. (Prerequisite: Basics #4)

Basics #6: This class focuses on teaching your dog good manners at the door! We値l work on Go on your mat, Sit, Stay, Go say Hi calmly. We値l also talk about tooth brushing. (Prerequisite: Basics #4)
