Pooch Pawsitive Dog Training: Private Lessons

If you don't have the time or flexibility to commit to a group class schedule, or have specific training needs, then we can come to you!
Private lessons are held at your home. Availability is greater during the day, but limited evening and Saturday afternoon appointments are available. Please call in advance to schedule an appointment.
- Puppy Jumpstart
Get your new puppy off to the right start with proper housetraining, socialization and bite inhibition skills.
Puppy Jumpstart is a 1 - 1/2 hour session at your home where we talk about housetraining and nipping, biting and chewing, and any other puppy questions you have. Many people take advantage of this session when their puppy first comes home.

- Behavioral Consultation
This initial 1 - 1-1/2 hour consultation includes discussing your training goals and evaluating your dog if necessary. We’ll then discuss your training plan and management options. We'll then come up with a training game plan that works with your schedule!

- Day Training
No time to train your dog? Then let us do it for you! The trainer is primarily responsible for training the dog but the owner will be required to do ‘homework’ during the week to reinforce the behavior being taught by the trainer.
The trainer will come to your home 2 -3 times per week to work with your dog, and, once per week, the trainer will spend one session with you to transfer the skills your dog has learned.
This is a good way to jumpstart training, whether its basic manners or behavior issues. A minimum of 12 one-hour sessions are recommended. Some dogs require more than 12 sessions to achieve the desired results. Prerequisite: Behavioral Consultation.
- Coaching
This service is designed for those who have the time and want to be an active participant in training their dog. We recommend meeting once per week for one hour. A minimum of 6 sessions are recommended. Some dogs require more than 6 sessions to achieve the desired results. Prerequisite: Behavioral Consultation
