STEP ONE - Get housetraining and puppy nipping under control!
Puppy Parenting Class
Get your pup off to a fast start with the Puppy Parenting Class at Rumford Pet Center. $25 per family. You do not need to bring your dog.
Learn about:
- Housetraining
- Nipping, biting and chewing
- Socialization
- The most important things to teach your puppy before he's 20 weeks old.
- Bring your questions!
Puppy Jumpstart
If you can't get to the Puppy Parenting workshop, then a private Puppy Jumpstart session at your home may be more convenient. Puppy Jumpstart sessions are held at your home with your family and puppy to go over your concerns about your puppy and give you the training tools you need to manage each situation. We'll cover Housetraining, Nipping, biting, chewing and any other questions you have about your new puppy! Please call to schedule an appointment.
STEP TWO - SOCIALIZATION
Puppy Playgroups
Between 3 - 18 weeks of age, puppies are sponges for all kinds of experiences. Be sure to safely expose your pup to all types of people, puppies (of similar age) and life. Come to a Puppy Playgroup for safe, supervised socialization experiences! Supervised Puppy Playgroups are held every:
- Saturday at 10 am at MetroPet Dog Center in Warwick
- Monday at 6 pm at Delmyra Kennels in Exeter
Bring the completed Class Registration form and shot records. Puppies should have had their second DHPP shot. Playgroups are $10 per visit.
STEP THREE - TEACH BASIC MANNERS
Puppy Basics group class
This group class covers basic manners such as Sit, Down, Come, Loose Leash Walking, No Jumping up, etc. Please visit our Group Training Classes page for more details.
